Online courseware is an example of eLearning. It is also called as web based instruction. It is a teaching or learning supported by the attributes of internet. Unlike computer-based instruction, it uses the World Wide Web as the primary delivery method of information. A textbook is usually required and all other materials, as well as communication with the instructor, are provided through the course web-site. The terms “on-line courses” and “web-based instruction” are sometimes used interchangeably with WBT.

eLearning started just about the moment the computer was developed for personal use. The concept and practice of eLearning already predates the computer world for almost 100 years. In England, in 1840, shorthand classes were being offered by correspondence courses through the mail. The improvements to the postal service made this method of distance learning popular in the early part of the last century. This cause the large number of “through mail” educations.

eLearning covers is used to describe any type of learning that is computer enhanced. There are multiple techologies that can be employed in eLearning. This is a learning that utilize a network (LAN, WAN, or internet) for delivery, interaction or facilitation. The term eLearning has no generally accepted meaning. There are groups in the eLearning industry that argue about this technologically enhanced systems. They defend that eLearning would not be learning without pedagogy. But some proved that eLearning is: “pedagogy empowered by digital technology“.

About 50 students and teachers from different public high schools nationwide were gathered here in Mimosa Leisure State, Clark Field, Pampanga to join the 2009 Camp Blog 1B, November 12-23.

Camp Blog is an 11 day affair organised be the CICT-HCDG to equip new generations of teachers and students with the advancements of the 21^st century digital learning.

Throughout the first eight days of stay, I’ve learned different things not just about ICT integration but also some sort of good manners and right conduct.

What I liked best in this affair is the way the recource speakers, organisers, staffs and TM’s show their concern to everyone. Although I’m a newbie to this world of blogging, I never felt the thought of being left behind.

I would never forget my supportive and hospitable groupmates, Shie Ann, Kathleen, Lennon, Reizle, Mark,, Tita Mavic, Ma’am Pen, Sir Bernie, Sir Stephen, Sir Elson, and Sir Alfon. The speakers, Prof. Alejo, Mr. Elcid, Prof. Sol, Prof Portia, Prof. Bambi, Prof. Doy, Ma’am Leila, Sir CP, and Sir Jo, I will always remember the times we have spent together.

Thank you for those wonderful  moments.

As time passes new techologies were invented and developed which cause different changes. These changes cause gap between us. Due to these technologies, some learn more than the others. To fill these gaps, everyone must experience the same treatment, everyone must know how to use these online course wares in their learning. Through these blog site, I hope that they will be able to access these course wares.

I have no stories while on the bus because I have been slept all the way to Cubao. There, I have noticed something. What do you think is its meaning? On our group, there are three participants from Lopez NCHS(our school) and three also from Hondagua NHS ( where Tita Mavic, Tito Roland and Jamaica came from). At the same time, there are three teachers and three students. It doesn’t end there. Again, there are three girls and three boys. Is it just coincidence? I think not. Maybe there is a meaning behind it that until now I can’t decode.

Then, we rent a taxi to the CICT office where the service picked us up. We waited there for about six hours. Look how long we’ve been stranded at the building. Is it another accident? Well, not again. Within that time, we have roamed around the office and visited the National Computer Center. At about 12:00nn the service came, almost full of other participants from all over the country.

It’s almost 2:00pm when we arrive in Mimosa. We then took our late afternoon lunch. After lunch, we had a short orientation, and getting to know each other. Then we call it a day for everyone. We checked in to our villas and took a rest.



Being in the Camp Blog is an extraordinary experience. Before we arrive in Mimosa, I have already sensed that something really important will happen here aside for the knowledge I will gain from the lectures. Everyday new ideas arise, new knowledge were being developed.
